Coach S. Danner has been coaching high school track and field since 1990.  He started coaching at MTHS in 2006.  Mr. Danner was a former Redbird trackster in the early 80's and went on to run track collegiality at Truman State University.  In college he finished 5th at the NCAA Division II Championships in the Decathlon in Hampton, VA with a score of 6664.  After college he became the head boys and girls track coach at Clopton High School (Pike County RIII) in Clarksville, MO.  In 2006 he joined the MTHS staff and has been an assistant to the boys team since then.  He has coached a little bit of everything in his time here but mostly the jumps and hurdles.  Your son will be coached by Mr. S. Danner in the following events: Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, 110 High Hurdles and 300 Intermediate Hurdles.  If you have any questions for Mr. S.
