Boys Win Sectional in Last Event

After a great meet the boys still trailed Normal UHigh by 1 point going into the 4x400. Whichever team beat the other would be Sectional Champs. The 4x400 relay team passed UHigh on the 4th leg to capture the championship and cap off an incredible night. The 4x400 (Poston, Gutierrez, Gray, Hodel) was the 9th event in which the Redbirds qualified for the state meet. Other qualifiers were the 4x800 relay (Payne, Meyer, Roedell and Gray), Ethan Poston (HJ, LJ), Austin Kasap (SP, Discus), Mitchell McKelvey (PV), Adam Gilbreath-Glaub (3200) and Ethan Hodel (400).
